He said: “The blacknose is a very iconic animal for them, they’re very patriotic about it and do not want to look the breed faded.
“Due to the fact they have the simplest ever been reared via hand they’re a totally kind breed, very good natured and docile.”
The event is designed to expose off the breed But also provide a grade in the United kingdom for the animals to be judged towards.
Seven Swiss judges have been flown over specifically to evaluate the British Valais blacknoses.
