On Monday, Raipur: Chhattisgarh Leader Minister Raman Singh said that the national authorities would broaden a ‘Khelgaon’ (sports activities village) in Bilaspur district and set up a state-level sports authority. “The sports activities expertise will be supported, nurtured, and groomed to excel on the sector level like the Olympics, Commonwealth Games, and Asiad,” Singh said, speaking at a state recreation awards distribution right at Raipur.
He felicitated as many as 103 sportspersons and coaches. Rajnandgaon-based total hockey participant Renuka Yadav (22), who becomes a part of the 16-member Indian women’s hockey squad for the Rio Olympics, was also felicitated with a unique award of Rs 10 lakh. The sports activities schooling center at Bilaspur can be developed as a Khelgaon, and a kingdom degree sports authority may be constituted for Chhattisgarh, the Leader Minister said. A pension scheme for the sports humans above 60 years vintage and who have taken element in Olympics, Commonwealth Video games, or Asiad may be launched. He also said a twist of fate insurance scheme might be started for the games he brought.
He said a motion plan to nurture the sports activities talent for ten years might be drafted. “The young expertise among the age group of eight to 12 years will be diagnosed at district, division, and national level and maybe provided education in diverse sports activities. The players will be selected for character Games like athletics, swimming, archery…the one’s players (in the age institution 12-16 yrs) whose performance is on par with national level players will be directly selected for the training,” the CM said.

The sports-people working in the police force and different authorities departments could be despatched to the countrywide degree academies for schooling. Those who win medals at the national level, too, will be despatched for schooling at countrywide academies at the feet of the government, the CM brought. Singh also introduced a class-II task for Renuka Yadav in the state sports branch after passing std 12th. Laxmirani Manjhi, who become a part of the Indian archery crew at the Rio Olympics, also became felicitated.
